
What's up party people! The Witcher 3 fans will be happy to know that the popular game has been awarded the game of the year during the Game Developers Choice Awards (GDCA).
The fantasy, role-playing game, The Witcher has been honered with the award at the 16th annual GDCA ceremony in San Francisco. Other awards also received was for the Best Technology with their impressive visuals with the RedEngine. View the full awards here.
The game was created by Sam Barlow won the most awards during the ceremony which includes Best Narrative, Best Performance and Innovative. Ori and the Blind Forest also won two awards for Best Debut and Best Visual Art which most gamers who played the game can agree.
The other GDCA winners were Crypt of the NecroDancer for Best Audio and Rocket League was awarded the Best Game Designer. Markus "Notch" Persson, the founder of Minecraft was awarded the Pioneer Award, Tracy Fullerton the Director of the Game Innovation Lab in USC won the Ambassador Award, and Todd Howard developer of The Elder Scrolls Series won the Lifetime Achievement Award.
