Street Fighter V featured in 2nd National Canadian Tournament

Esports is growing in the entertainment world each day and more tournaments and new companies are joining on board in the bandwagon. 

The Tournament

Recently Cineplex (one of Canada's largest entertainment companies) & WorldGaming have announced the registration for the Cineplex WorldGaming Canadian TournamentThe tournament will be featuring the popular side-scrolling, Street Fighter V game. 
Players will face-off 1v1 in an online qualifier and the regional finals and Canadian final will be held in Cineplex theaters all across Canada! If some people are still skeptical over the booming growth of Esports, this might be a sign for them to change sides. 


The champion will be awarded a total of $10,000 while following runner-ups will receive the $4,000 & $2,000 respectively. However, if you are not a professional gamer yourself or do not have the confidence to win the tournament, you will still be eligible to receive the chance to receive free merchandise. 

Open to all

Take note, ALL players regardless of skill level may register and there will be no registration fee. It will first begin with the online qualifiers on the 21st of March and end on April 17. Regional's will be held on the 1st of May and the finals will followed on the 29th of May in Toronto.

So get those controllers ready because you don't know if you will be one of the lucky few to show off your skills.
