If you love horror games and also adventure ones, get your hands on this game. The game first introduces Lorraine as a loving mother who is in search for her child, Callum who is lost in a deserted amusement park.

You can search and pick up items along the way that add to the clues that would lead to Callum. The game also allows you to sit on scary rides and call Callum's name out. It puts you in a first-player situation and may cause some players to experience psychological distress if not comfortable with horror games.

9. SuperHot (PC, XO) by SuperHot team

Release date: March 2016

Mode: Single-player (First-person shooter)
Price: PC is $47 on SteamXO/PS4: TBD (there is no preorder)

Superhot has garnered quite a bit of attention with gamers ever since its Steam greenlight campaign and kickstarter campaign. Now, after around one year of development, the game will be finally released. It features a streamlined graphics where the surroundings is all white and enemies are red.

You play a character that receives a new game, "Superhot.exe" from a friend where you need to shoot your enemies down through the game. You as the player can pick up weapons and use them as you move along the areas. Time only moves when you shoot or when you move which gives you time to access your situation and dodge incoming shots.

The price of death is great. If you get shot, you immediately restart the level. But fear not, you will have tonnes of different weapons at your disposal and your fast paced movement speed in order to dodge and reach the next level.

There are 3 modes to play the game: First, is the normal campaign mode where you play according to the story line. Second is the "endless" mode, where you are placed with an endless stream of enemies and must last as long as you can. Third, is the challenge mode where you can place certain restrictions on a level and re-run it.

*Fun fact: The kickstarter gained over $250,000 in funds.

**Fun-er fact: You can even try out the prototype on your browser here (remember to use firefox/opera/IE)

8. Action Henk (PC, PS4, XO) by Curve Digital

Price: $14.99 on SteamXO/PS4: TBD

Known as the butt-sliding glory, Action Henk, has received positive reviews on Steam saying that it was a great racing game with easy and simple gameplay for new players to learn.

This lighthearted game is great for players would love a change in racing games with friends. Players can go through different levels, areas and use different characters to race against friends or just other players online.

You can also use the in-game editor to create new racing tracks and challenge your friends. The game also boasts to be able to race a whole Twitch chat in one game! How cool is that for all streamers out there. If that wasn't enough, you can challenge the world to get to the top of the leader boards.

7. Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide (PC, PS4, XO) by Fatshark

Release date: Q1 2016
Mode: Multiplayer (First-person shooter)
Price: $29.99 on Steam PS4 & Xbox: TBD

The game was awarded "Best game of PAX" and had similar concepts to Left 4 DeadIt is advertised to be a highly cooperative game and requires the teamwork of your allies. First released in 2015, the producers are preparing Warhammer Vermintide to be available on consoles (Xbox One, PS4).

Players have the option to choose to play one of 5 heroes available. The Witch Hunter, Empire Soldier, Dwarf Ranger, Waywatcher & Bright Wizard all have difference skills and are either ranged or melee. The game allows up to 3 players to join you in your quest to kill the Skavens -who are evil, monster mice.

Similar to other MMOs, by killing enemies, you will gain Experience points and new loot for your gear upgrades. And as usual, the more difficult the enemies, the better the loot. However, that's where the similarities stop. In Warhammer Vermintide, players will be bombarded with horde of enemies and must move across the map to get to the next level.
