From the big guns that published Fallout and The Elder Scrolls comes an upcoming familiar first-player shooter (FPS) game, DOOM. Bethesda has teamed up with id Software to develop an upgraded version based off the original Doom series.
The game also has a new feature which allows players to create user-generated content for different mods of the game. It is said to be easy to use and map pieces can be created at ease.
Players are given the choice of either single-player or multiplayer modes with friends to storm through the gates of hell together. According to sources, the game received positive reviews during E3 2015 and many awards. However, there were some critics that highlighted the extreme violence of the game. Even Pete Hines from Bethesda has warned:
"If you're not into violent, bloody games... Doom's probably not a game for you."
A premium collectors edition of DOOM is also said to be planned by Bethesda and will include a 12" collector's statue of the Revenant (view main picture above). Players can pre-order it at participating retailers at $119.99, which may be a steep price for some.
However, both the pre-orders for the standard and collectors edition will receive the Demon Multiplayer Pack which will include a unique demon armor, Hack Modules, and a one-time multiplayer consumable item.
