Tired of Driving to Work Everyday?
Sick of your 9 to 5 job? Working at home might be an option for you.
Now with the current tools and technology, working at home is becoming easier to do and there are more opportunities in the market as well.
In this blog, we'll break down some of the reasons and benefits of working at home.
#5 Tax Breaks and Money
Working at an office can actual be quite expensive, if you calculate in gas costs, having to pay for meals outside of the office, and buying professional attire.

Great news, if you work from home you don't have to worry about any of those things! In fact, working from home may even save you from having to buy a car!
However, even if you do decide to buy a car, there are ways that working from home can help there as well.
As a small business owner, you can write off things like equipment, your car, and maybe your house (in some cases) as company expenses when you do your taxes.
#4 Commuting

Commuting can be one of the most frustrating things about working outside your home. On average, a person will spend about an hour in the day just getting to their job and back home.
Starting your day off in a traffic jam doesn't put you in the right mindset to work productively either.
If you are like me and are living in a big city, I don't need to explain to you the feelings of anxiety and impatience that comes with being stuck in stop and go traffic.
So why pay the extra gas money and start your day off with a headache when you can start the day in peace working from home?
#3 Productivity and Rhythm

For some people, working in a busy office environment can keep them on task. However, I am not one of those people.
Between meetings and the constant interruptions of co-workers, it can feel impossible to get any work done.
In fact, people who work in large office environments often find themselves taking their work home with them due to lack of productivity.
If you're like me, and do not like all the distractions that come with being in a cubicle, then a home job could be for you!
#2 Following a Passion

One of the top selling points for owning your own small business and working from home is that you get to follow your passions.
Most small business origins are in a hobby that the owner has a passion for. The best example is our own company, Tekbotic!
CEO, Matt Gallisa, has always been an avid video gamer and he was able to translate his passion for that into a business! What started as a one-man operation, is now becoming a booming business.
#1 Time and Schedule

Possibly the most obvious and influential reason for why you should work from home is the ability to set your own work hours and schedule.
If you want to be a profitable small business owner, you can not slack on your hours just because there is no one higher up on the ladder telling you that you need to work.
That said, it's nice to be able to work when you feel the creative juices flowing and not because you are being made to work. Maybe you're an early morning person so you work from 6AM- 2PM?
Or maybe you're a night owl who finds themselves most productive between the hours of Midnight and 4AM?
It doesn't matter, either way, works because you're are the Boss! Being able to set your own schedule can make you more available to do things with your friends and family as well.
Let us know in the comments below if you have other reasons working at home might be for someone! :)
